SATA 2 Hardware RAID controller

The hardware RAID controller has an own chip for the calculations of all RAID options. There are no additional loads for the CPU of the computer by RAID-calculations. In addition this implementation enables the direct booting of the operating system from one RAID volume.

The Hot-Swap and Hot-Spare Support enables change of the harddiscs in the running operation (hot operation). If one hard disc fails, the Hot-Spare-Disc will be implemented automatically instead of the default disc.

The Battery backup unit backs the cache of the RAID-controller during power failure with energy. The Cache content remains upto 72 hours unaffected.

The hardware RAID controller convinces by excellent capacities in RAID level 0, 1,5 and 10.
